Online means flexible schedules, self-paced learning, and late-night assignments at the kitchen table. What online students don\u2019t expect is spiritual growth, but that\u2019s exactly what happens here at Grace. At Grace, your education isn\u2019t separated from your faith, it\u2019s built on it, and as an online student, I\u2019ve experienced something I didn\u2019t fully expect: my spiritual life didn\u2019t get put on pause because I was busy, my walk with God actually deepened.<\/p>\n<h3><b>1. Faith Is Woven Into the Work<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At Grace, you don\u2019t just complete assignments, we engage with truth, His truth. Scripture isn\u2019t just an add-on. It\u2019s not a once-a-week discussion. It shows up in your reading, your reflections, your development, and even how you think through real-life challenges. You\u2019re constantly being asked: \u201cHow does your faith inform how you grow, decide, and live?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That question alone will grow you. I was able to grow in discipline through the weekly devotionals and it encouraged me to not just wait for a school assignment to open my Bible but to remain diligent in reading and meditating on my Word daily.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>2. You Learn to Think Differently<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spiritual growth isn\u2019t just emotional, it\u2019s structural.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Online learning forces you to slow down and process:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What do I actually believe?<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Why do I believe it?<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How does it show up in my daily life?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019re not just consuming information. You\u2019re being stretched into alignment. And over time, you begin to notice: your reactions change\u2026 your priorities shift\u2026your discernment sharpens\u2026 That\u2019s growth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I can\u2019t talk about spiritual growth without being honest about what this journey has done for me personally. One of my previous classes at Grace focused on cultural intelligence and I didn\u2019t realize how much I needed that. It stretched me. It made me more aware of how I lead, how I listen, and how I navigate different environments with both wisdom and humility.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But more than that, every class I\u2019ve taken has been building something deeper in me. <\/span><strong>Clarity.<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Not the kind of clarity that comes from doing more but the kind that comes from alignment. The kind where you start to recognize: \u201cGod already spoke this\u2026 I just needed the structure to walk it out.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That\u2019s what this experience has done for me. It hasn\u2019t changed my calling. It confirmed it, strengthened it. And it\u2019s given me the discipline to actually execute it.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>3. No one is standing over you, no one is reminding you every five minutes, unless you have a spouse like mine taking classes alongside you. Even having him by my side I still have to show up. And in that process discipline becomes discipleship.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You learn to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Honor your commitments<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Steward your time<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Follow through even when it\u2019s inconvenient<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And those same habits begin to show up in your walk with God.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>4. Growth Happens in Real Life, Not Just Class<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the most beautiful parts of being an online student is that you don\u2019t step out of your life to grow but you grow in the middle of it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In between:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">work schedules<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">kids<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marriage<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ministry<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">responsibilities<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019re learning, stretching, and being refined. And that kind of growth sticks. Because it\u2019s not theoretical.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s lived.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>5. You Start Seeing Learning as Obedience<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This was the shift for me. Going back to school wasn\u2019t just a \u201cgoal\u201d it became an act of obedience. A decision to steward what God placed inside of me. At Grace, I\u2019ve learned that education isn\u2019t just about achievement it\u2019s about alignment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And when you begin to see learning that way, everything changes.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Final Thought<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spiritual growth as an online student doesn\u2019t happen by accident.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It happens when:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">your education is rooted in truth<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">your environment challenges you<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and you choose to show up consistently<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At Grace, you don\u2019t just grow intellectually.
