Financial Aid Specialist
Job Title: Financial Aid Specialist
Department: Financial Aid
Reports to: Financial Aid Director

Summary
The Financial Aid Specialist is a team member of the Financial Aid Office and is primarily responsible for determining student eligibility for financial aid. The Financial Aid Specialist assists the students with processing financial aid forms and advising them about available aid, such as grants, scholarships, and loans.
Essential Duties
- All employees have an element of responsibility to recruit and retain students.
- Counsels and guides students and parents throughout the financial aid application process.
- Regularly communicates with students, parents, coworkers, lenders, and government agencies regarding financial aid eligibility and awards.
- Maintains compliance with Federal, State, and institutional policies and regulations.
- Processes FAFSA applications in an accurate and timely manner and verifies the accuracy and consistency of the data received from federal tax return transcripts and student financial information.
- Determines financial aid eligibility and inputs appropriate awards, adjustments, and/or corrections to assure eligible students receive the opportunity to attend Grace Christian University.
- Participates in appropriate professional development workshops and seminars as determined by the Financial Aid Director.

- Experience with Jenzabar Student Information Systems is a plus.

Chapel Technology Assistant
Job Title: Chapel Technology Assistant
Reports to: Campus Pastor
Department: Student Affairs
Status: Part-time, hourly
Salary: $18 hourly

Summary
The Chapel Technology Assistant is a part-time, hourly position reporting to the Campus Pastor. He/she is responsible for running and/or staffing Audio/Visual equipment for chapels and other chapel events including lights, sound mixing, streaming video, and more.
Essential Duties:
- Assist with ProPresenter, lights, sound mixing, and streaming video at Tuesday and Thursday chapels, and Wednesdays as needed
- Be available for occasional supplemental events held in Baker Chapel, scheduling help or assisting with sound-mixing and technology troubleshooting as needed.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace technology issues as they arise
- Train and prepare student volunteers to run ProPresenter, lights, sound mixing, and streaming video as needed
- Oversee chapel technology scheduling to ensure proper coverage
- Assist with set-up and tear-down of worship instruments and sound equipment
- Any additional responsibilities that advance our mission and uphold our organizational values according to your supervisor.
Expectations:
- Attend all regular chapel sessions for set up, notifying Campus Pastor in advance of scheduling conflicts.
- Attend chapel worship rehearsals (typically Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons)
- Attend chapel committee meetings
- Approximately 10 – 15 hours per week.
- Be available for chapel experiences and other Baker Chapel events during the months of August – December and January through May.

Male Resident Director and Campus Communications Coordinator
Job Title: Male Resident Director and Campus Communications Coordinator
Reports to: Dean of Students
Department: Student Affairs
Status: Full-time, salary
Salary: $25,000 + housing, meal plan, and insurance benefits
Summary
The Male Resident Director and Communications Coordinator is a full-time, live-in professional staff
member who supports the creation of Christ-centered community and oversees the Resident Assistant
team. They coordinate campus communication efforts as a member of the Student Affairs staff. The
Resident Director and Campus Communications Coordinator reports to the Dean of Students. The
Resident Director works on an 11-month contract, from July 1 – May 31.
Essential Duties:
A. Residence Halls
● Support the creation of a collegiate and Christ-centered community.
● Oversee and manage Residence Assistants (RAs) under direction of Dean of Students:
o Lead weekly meetings with RA team
o Plan, coordinate and implement on and off-campus activities in conjunction with the
RAs
o Provide consistent presence in dining hall for meals
o Set relevant goals with RA team members and monitor progress
● Disciple and personally mentor students.
● Be available as needed for emergencies including physical and mental health needs of students.
Assist with hospitalization, etc.
● Responsible for knowing the policies listed in the Student Handbook and enforcing the policies
through fines and other sanctions.
● Be aware of students’ spiritual needs and development while also providing leadership in
prayer and Bible study as needed.
● Conduct Residence Hall meetings as needed.
● Respond to disciplinary issues as needed and assist RAs
● Submit and ensure timely completion of maintenance requests.
● Contact Wash Laundry and schedule access to halls for washer/dryer maintenance.
B. Create a Media Strategy for Community Life
● Create and implement student engagement processes
● Use student engagement metrics to inform student event offerings
● Identify campus communication inefficiencies and create solutions as needed
● Manage Community life portlet on the JICS Portal
● Oversee the creation and distribution of the monthly Scoop and campus advertisements
● Utilize appropriate social media platforms to promote campus events and activities
● Create media, including graphics, photos and videos, as needed.
● Manage slides for campus Digisigns
● Manage campus events using Google Calendar
C. Professional/Personal Development
● Meet for weekly team meeting with Dean of Students/supervisor
● Meet bi-weekly with supervisor one-on-one
● Meet weekly with Student Affairs Team
D. Additional Roles/Responsibilities
a. Full-time, 40 hours per week, with some hours flexing outside of traditional 8-5 work hours,
including some hours in on-call rotation. Coordinate with supervisor to ensure coverage of
Student Affairs office hours to connect with student affairs staff and respond to student needs.
b. Intentional involvement in student leadership development and training including RA training
and
Fall and Spring New Student Orientation
c. Plan on-campus and off-campus events as needed.
d. Conduct assessments and evaluations to better understand student needs and interests
e. Ensure adherence to budget and timely completion of Centercard transaction reports
f. Log and track meaningful conversations through CL Engage system.
g. Regular attendance at chapels.
h. Participation in All-Staff meetings.

Head Coach - Cross Country
Position: Head Coach – Men’s & Women’s Cross Country
Reports to: Athletic Director

Summary
The Head Coach at Grace Christian University is responsible for all aspects of their respective program, with a commitment to cultivate a team culture in which student-athletes can thrive. The Head Coach will lead the program in alignment with the Grace Christian University mission to ‘Graduate courageous ambassadors for Christ who make an eternal impact wherever they go’.
Essential Duties:
- Recruiting and retaining a full team of student-athletes
- Driving excellence in the area of Spiritual growth, competition, and academics within team
- Managing meet/invitational schedule
- Booking travel accommodations and coordinating team itineraries
- Keeping record of expenditures and staying on track with budgeted allowance for program
- Building and supervising assistant coaching staff and provide direction and oversight
- Practice planning and coordination of gym time/field usage with Athletic Director
- Providing Assistant AD/SID with information needed pertaining to respective sport
- Coordinating consistent devotions and service projects within team for Grace ROOTED program

Part-Time Athletic Trainer

The Athletic Trainer at Grace Christian University is an essential role within the athletics department, with a commitment to provide services to our student-athletes that pertain to their health and well-being, focusing on injury prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.
Essential Duties:
- A.T. coverage at all home sporting events throughout the year
- Flexible scheduling for student-athlete treatment within 25 hour/week timeframe
- Responsible for inventory of medical and training supplies
- Maintain a clean and functional athletic training room in the Aldrich Athletic Center
- Liaison for Athletic Insurance
- Build trusting relationships with student-athletes
